Gunnison Valley Health Foundation
Generosity for our COMMUNITY.
When Jeremy was 3 years old he developed a hernia after a bike accident.
His parents quickly brought him to the hospital at Gunnison Valley Health.
Shortly after arriving Jeremy was taken into the OR and his hernia was
successfully repaired. As he lay in a patient room later that evening
a nurse walked in with a special gift; a little white teddy bear. Jeremy
embraced his new friend and the pain of the recent surgery was momentarily
forgotten, he was able to be a 3-year-old again. That teddy bear remains
on Jeremy's bed to this day. To him, it may be just another stuffed
animal to play with. To his parents, it's an enduring reminder of
the compassionate care their son received.
Stories like Jeremy's happen every day at Gunnison Valley Health. Whether
it is investing in cutting edge technology, nursing education, or little
white teddy bears, the Gunnison Valley Health Foundation is committed
to providing the support that make those stories possible.
