November 17 is National Rural Health Day. It's a day to celebrate the vital role rural hospitals play in their communities. Our community here in the Gunnison Valley relies on quality healthcare and we have a long history of providing exactly that to our friends, family, and neighbors. We are proud to be serving our community by ensuring that it has access to high quality healthcare

  • We are an Avatar Award Winner as a Best Overall Performer (In the Top 10%-12% of organizations nationwide).
  • According to iVantage Health Analytics, we are a performance leader in quality and financial stability (In the Top 10% of rural hospitals).
  • According to the iVantage Index Gunnison Valley Health ranks overall in the Top 1.2% of rural hospitals nationwide making us one of the top 25 rural hospitals out of over 2100 in the country.
  • Our HCAHPS scores (a nationally mandated patient satisfaction survey required of every hospital in the country) since August, 2016 put us in the top 5% of all hospitals nationwide in 8 key areas.
