Our Services

Pediatric Therapy

Gunnison Valley Health has expanded our Therapy services to include Pediatrics.

When an issue or illness keeps your child from playing and interacting in the world today, Gunnison Valley Health Pediatric Rehabilitation can provide a program customized for your child's full spectrum of needs.

At Gunnison Valley Health, our Pediatric Therapy Department focuses on individualized treatment that is child-centered with an emphasis on caregiver education, and training. A room in the south side of the hospital has been created to allow a therapeutic place where kids can enhance their skills while in an environment that will make them feel comfortable. With this expansion comes the development of a sensory gym for Pediatric Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy. The sensory gym includes, padded flooring, swings, a ball pit and educational toys. It is a nurturing, child-friendly environment where children can explore, learn, and challenge themselves in order to overcome difficulties.

An integral part of our therapy program is our patient and collaborating with family, other therapists, educators, coaches, daycare providers and those influential in the child’s life.
