GVH Pays Tribute to Don Wills |

March 2, 2012 Courtesy of Crested Butte News Dear Editor: On behalf of the Gunnison Valley Health Foundation Board of Directors and Staff, I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service that Don Wills provided as a member of our Board since May of 2010. Don was an outstanding member of the Gunnison community, and we are sorry to see the untimely loss of a great husband, father, volunteer and friend. The Gunnison Valley Health Foundation was excited to have Don become a Director, not only because of his amazing energy and kindness, but also due to his incredible skill and knowledge. During his many careers, Don helped form a foundation for a health system in Hawaii, and this experience brought insight and expertise during our formative years. He always provided helpful assistance with legal and financial matters as well as with our grant writing. Don loved to be out in the community, and he was always among the first to offer to sell tickets for a fundraiser, sign people up for the City Market Cares program or simply offer a helping hand. Don had a passion for strong, local community healthcare, and the staff and Board at the Gunnison Valley Health Foundation will miss him dearly. Our condolences go out to Joy and the Wills family, and we thank you for supporting Don in sharing his talents and goodwill with our organization and so many others! Sincerely, Lauren Holbrook Executive Director Gunnison Valley Health Foundation |
