Volunteering

Hospice & Palliative Care receives a great deal of support from community members who volunteer their time and energy to generously assist staff members in providing optimal care for those needing extra support in our community or who are nearing the end of their life. Volunteers are key to the success of Gunnison Valley Health Hospice & Palliative Care, it's because of people like you that Hospice & Palliative Care is able to provide such great care to our patients.

Our trained volunteers are individually assigned to patients as requested by the family/patient. They provide whatever kind of companionship the patient may need, such as listening, reading to the patient or just visiting and holding their hand. Volunteers can be a great support to those spending hours alone.
