Annamarie Meeuwsen, M.D.

Born in Seattle, Anna studied undergraduate philosophy at Kenyon College in Ohio.  While pursuing pre-medical studies at the University of Washington, Anna met future husband, Michael.  After their nuptials, they lived for a year in Bolivia.  Both attended medical school at Loyola University in Chicago and then moved to Denver in 2006.  Anna completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Colorado off-cycle in 2010 after having two children. 

Anna loves outdoor activities which include skiing (ascending and descending), hiking and road biking.  Additional interests include travel and cooking.  She relishes time with her children and Greater Swiss Mountain dogs.

Michael Meeuwsen, M.D.

Raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Michael studied Chemistry at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  He then studied for 18 months in Germany learning the language and performing bench chemistry.  While pursuing a Masters in Chemistry at the University of Washington, Michael met Anna, his future spouse.  Both Anna and Michael then attended Medical School at Loyola in Chicago.  He started residency as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Denver but switched to Family Medicine in order to broaden his scope of practice with the intention of practicing in a rural community.

Michael’s interests outside of medicine include outdoor activities especially biking, hiking with the dogs and skiing. He is also passionate about doing just about anything with his family and is very handy around the house.
