Gunnison Valley Health hosts concussion and brain injury event on Monday, May 1
It is estimated that over 25,000 individuals in our region of Colorado
have sustained a traumatic brain injury. With that in mind, Gunnison Valley
Health will host an educational evening on brain injuries and concussion
management at the Hospital Conference Room on Monday, May 1 from 6 –
8 p.m. The event is brought to the community in conjunction with the Brian
Injury Alliance of Colorado and Craig Hospital.
Representatives from Gunnison Valley Health’s Rehabilitation and
Athletic Medicine team as well as the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado
will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about new
research and programs related to brain injuries. Information will be presented
that can benefit parents, coaches, teachers, and athletes.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
