Gunnison Valley Health’s annual low-cost blood testing events have supported 1,751 community members across the Gunnison Valley this year, empowering individuals to take charge of their health through affordable, accessible preventive care.
With record participation in Crested Butte this June and a strong turnout at last week’s Gunnison events, the program continues to demonstrate its importance to the valley.
“These tests play a vital role in supporting the overall health and wellness of our community,” said Erica Rasmussen, Director of Marketing & Communications at GVH. “We’re proud to offer these services at a reduced cost. And, thanks to a voucher program made possible by the GVH Foundation, 100 community members who could not afford the testing were able to access these important health screenings at each event.”
For those who missed the summer events, GVH offers year-round low-cost Direct Access Laboratory Testing at its main facility located at the hospital. No appointment is needed. Testing is available seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a wide range of commonly requested labs at affordable prices.
