Gunnison Valley Health & MyChart Billing: Improving Patient Access and Transparency

Gunnison Valley Health has officially transitioned to the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, streamlining care, medical records and billing processes across the health system. This update went into effect May 3, 2025, including the launch of MyChart, a secure patient portal that allows patients to view and manage their care, including billing entirely online.
Epic’s integrated billing system is improving efficiency and providing greater transparency for patients. Through MyChart, patients can view account balances, download statements, set up payment plans and pay bills online. Billing is available in real time, offering patients a more accurate, consolidated look at their financial responsibilities across GVH services.
“Our goal is to make the billing process more accessible, intuitive, and easier to understand for every patient,” said Jason Amrich, Gunnison Valley Health’s CEO. “Epic’s patient billing tools allow us to offer a modern experience that aligns with the rest of our care – compassionate, efficient and patient-centered.”
What You Need To Know About Billing:
- All bills for services provided on or after May 3 will be available exclusively through MyChart.
