About Karen

Dr. LoRusso earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. She went on to complete fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is board certified in both Hematology and Oncology.

With 20 years of experience in private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Dr. LoRusso brings deep clinical expertise and a patient-centered approach to the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic conditions and cancer. Her career reflects a long-standing commitment to building trusted relationships with patients and delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care close to home.
