Michael Reid, Vice President of Physician Practices
Michael Reid, FACHE, FACMPE, is Vice President of Physician Practices at
Gunnison Valley Health, where he leads the GVH Medical Group’s primary
care and specialty clinics. His responsibilities include practice operations,
provider recruitment, physician and advanced practice provider compensation,
contract administration, and regulatory compliance.
A healthcare executive with more than 40 years of experience, Michael began
his career as an X-ray technologist and went on to earn a bachelor’s
degree in healthcare administration and a master’s degree in business.
Over his career, he has recruited more than 300 providers and developed
compensation models that improved patient access, volume, and revenue.
Michael is a Fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives
and the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He is also pursuing
the Certified Provider Compensation Valuer (CPCV) credential, deepening
his expertise in the regulatory frameworks that govern provider compensation,
including the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he volunteers with the Ronald McDonald
House and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and time with his wife, three children,
and four grandchildren.
