Be Prepared for an Emergency: Learn CPR. Save a Life.
Gunnison Valley Health is proud to offer CPR & First Aid Training to our community in conjunction with the American Heart Association (AHA).
Our community classes are a blend of self-paced online modules through the AHA followed by in-person skills session with an AHA instructor.
Part 1: Online Module Portion
You must complete the online training portion before attending the in-person class.
2-3 weeks before the in-person session, you will be emailed a link to the online portion of the course. The AHA offers a variety of courses for you to choose from when you register. If you are unsure which course is best for you, please reach out to cpound@gvh-colorado.org.
- When you register please make sure everyone registering has a valid, current, and unique email
- When you click on the link, it will ask you to create an account if you do not already have one
- Once you create an account and/or log in, you will be able to access the online module
- Online modules take 2-3 hours to complete. The online training is designed with the flexibility to be taken at your own pace, location, and schedule.
Please bring a copy of your online course completion certificate to class or email it to cpound@gvh-colorado.org
Part 2: In-Person Skills Session
After completing the online portion, you must attend and pass the in-person skills session with an AHA instructor. These sessions are instructor-led, hands-on, and focus on meaningful coaching, skills practice, and skills testing.

Instructor-Led Classroom
Instructor-Led classes are a great option for groups who prefer to spend the day in a classroom setting. An instructor will lead the group in watching the online videos while providing group interactions and coaching. Classroom courses may be conducted onsite at your company's location or at Gunnison Valley Health.
