About Lauren
Lauren graduated from Western State Colorado University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 2010. Lauren then went on to graduate from Regis University with a masters degree in Counseling in 2015. She received her Licensed Professional Counselor degree in 2017.
Lauren has received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and additional training in solution-focused brief therapy. Her specialty focus is on engaging in counseling with adolescents and adults experiencing emotional dysregulation that contributes to impulsive behaviors and suicidality.
Before coming to Gunnison Valley Health, Lauren worked as a community-based outpatient mental health therapist at The Center for Mental Health (now Axis Health) for four years, and as a mental health therapist at Western Colorado University for two years.
When she is not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with family, getting outdoors (hiking, biking, skiing), yoga, and reading.
