Health Spot: Mobile Crisis Services

We all struggle and need help. In Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties, Mobile Crisis Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

My name is Kimberly Behounek, Director of Behavioral Health at Gunnison Valley Health. We are a part of a large group of local organizations working to address the mental health needs of every person in our community.

Mobile crisis clinicians support first responders through on-scene intervention and assessment services designed to decrease the number of behavioral health clients admitted to the emergency room, decrease overall trauma for individuals in crisis and preserve valuable law enforcement and emergency medical services resources.

Services are provided free of charge and a trained mental health clinician from Gunnison Valley Health is available to respond to crisis calls in Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties 24/7.

If you need help, call the Colorado Crisis Services Hotline at 1-844-493- 8255 or text TALK to 38255. Trained professionals are available to provide free, immediate and confidential help 24/7, 365 days a year. No matter your issue or circumstance, this service is always here for you.
