Supporting the Well-Being of Every Member of the Community

Gunnison Valley Health’s Behavioral Health team provides an array of voluntary, short-term services to inmates incarcerated in the Gunnison County jail. The services are designed to address individual needs while supporting continuity of care within the community after release from incarceration.

Our Services

Our experienced clinicians provide:

  • Individual therapy sessions with a solutions-focused approach and designed around your unique needs.
  • Transitional services designed to support long-term success and recovery. These services may include support connecting with community services and long-term behavioral health services.
  • Peer support specialist services to support with attaining recovery goals and connecting with community resources.
  • A psychiatric nurse practitioner available to support with managing and prescribing psychiatric medications including medication assisted treatment (MAT).
