Gunnison Valley Health’s Behavioral Health Department offers a diverse range of services designed to address the specific behavioral health needs of the Gunnison Valley. Through our service offerings and strong community partnerships, Gunnison Valley Health provides both clinical and supportive services to address a broad spectrum of needs.

Outpatient Services

We offer outpatient services designed around your unique needs. Our clinicians can work with you to develop a treatment plan tailored to address a broad range of addiction and mental health concerns.

Peer Support Specialist Services

Our peer support specialists use their personal recovery experiences as a means to help others. They partner with clients to attain recovery goals and provide connection to community resources.

School-Based Services

Our school-based counselors provide free, school-based counseling services to students at Lake and Gunnison Elementary School and Crested Butte Middle and High Schools.

Jail-Based Services

We are contracted with Gunnison County to provide voluntary, short-term behavioral health services to individuals incarcerated in Gunnison County’s jail.

Mobile Crisis Services

We are contracted with Rocky Mountain Health Plans as a mobile crisis provider. The contract ensures that a trained mental health clinician from Gunnison Valley Health is available to respond to crisis calls in Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties 24/7.
