About Jessica

Jessica Gennari received her master’s degree in counseling from Adams State University in 2013. Jessica began her counseling career in the San Luis Valley developing her expertise treating substance abuse issues, co-occurring disorders, PTSD, trauma- stressor related disorders, attachment, anxiety and depression disorders. Jessica later opened a private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Telluride, Colorado, where she worked with children to adults. Jessica’s treatment approach is foundational in interpersonal therapy, combining CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy) ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Art and Play therapy. Jessica believes in the strength-building power of relationships in counseling, supporting every client’s optimal wellness. Jessica speaks Spanish, and is BCLAD (Bilingual, Cross-cultural, Language and Academic Development) certified. Jessica is a BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ affirmative counselor. In her free time, she loves to make art and adventure in the mountains.
