Gunnison Valley Health's Mountain Clinic is recognized for Excellence in Patient Care

Gunnison Valley Health’s Mountain Clinic received the 2018 Excellence in Patient Care Award by Studer Group, a global firm who identifies the best in healthcare organizations in the USA, Canada and Australia.

Gunnison Valley Health’s CEO Rob Santilli said this is an outstanding achievement for the team at the Mountain Clinic located in the heart of Mt Crested Butte.

“To be considered for this award, an organization must demonstrate outstanding performance and rank in the 90th percentile or higher as measured by patient satisfaction surveys,” said Mr. Santilli.

“For a small team at the north end of our valley to be recognized as a leading provider of patient care in the country is exceptional,” he said.

“Gunnison Valley Health has been named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the nation seven times. This level of care provided by the Mountain Clinic demonstrates our commitment to consistently deliver outstanding healthcare at both ends of the valley,” he said.

I’m very proud of the team for making a positive difference in the lives of many visitors and local community members,” said Mr. Santilli.

Gunnison Valley Health’s Mountain Clinic Director Jeff Isaac commended his team for their efforts over the past 12 months.

“Our staff are highly skilled and compassionate people who really enjoy what they do, where they work, and the patients they care for. We are supported by an excellent EMS system and ski patrol, and backed by one of the best hospitals in the nation,” said Mr Isaac.

“This is an example of what happens when good people focus on a worthy cause in a caring community,” he added.

Studer Group’s President Debbie Ritchie said they are fortunate to work with the best of the best in healthcare and are so proud of all the organizations that are receiving awards for their outstanding results.

“It takes dedication from every individual to provide excellent care and this award should be celebrated by all those who work daily to make a difference. They are what’s right in healthcare,” said Ms. Ritchie.

Beth Shaner, the clinic’s nurse supervisor, will accept the award for the Mountain Clinic at the national conference in August in Nashville, Tennessee.

Gunnison Valley Health’s Mountain Clinic is now open for the summer season and is located at 12 Snowmass Road, Axtel Building, at Mt Crested Butte. The Mountain Clinic is open 7 days a week from 9am – 5pm and can be contacted at 970-349-0321.
