Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular Rehabilitation

The vestibular system, housed in the inner ear, is responsible for giving the brain information about motion, head position, and spatial orientation. This -system plays a major role in our ability to maintain our balance, stabilize our gaze, and keep our postural stability. When this system is not working well, it can have a serious impact on function and quality of life. Vestibular dysfunction occurs for a number of reasons—age, trauma, and viral infections to name a few. Luckily, Gunnison Valley Heath has two physical therapists with training in vestibular rehabilitation who can help get you back on your feet!
